Visa Information :-
All Singaporean nationals, except diplomatic and official
passport holders, require a visa to travel to India.
(1) Visa application for Singaporean nationals is processed
on second working day.
(2) However, visa application processing for non-Singaporean
applicant who is a PR, or working on EP/WP or a dependant,
requires minimum five working days. Initially fax form is
filled on the day of application and fax fee of S$20 is paid.
On/after fifth working day,
(3) Non-Singaporean who is not-resident in Singapore will
not be provided service by this mission. They should obtain
the visa from the country of their normal residence.
Type of Visa :-
Tourist visa is issued to applicants travelling to
India for tourism. Applicant need to submit 2 photos and application
form. Other types of visas require the following additional
documentations to be submitted along with the application
form:
Business Visa – Issued to those traveling
to India for business – a letter of recommendation from company
stating purpose of visit, places to be visited and duration
of visit is to be submitted with the visa application; an
invitation letter from company’s Indian counterpart inviting
the applicant and undertaking to take care of all his/her
expenses and repatriation if required.
Student Visa – This visa is issued for the
duration of the course or for five years (whichever is less)
for those students studying in regular academic courses in
India. The students should submit proof of admission to an
educational institution recognized by the Government of India.
